    • On successful completion of this programme graduates will:
    • Be competent in the application of recognised business techniques.
    • Understand and be able to identify factors impacting on sports development and coaching.
    • Demonstrate sports development and coaching skills appropriate to National Governing Bodies, clubs, teams, schools and communities
    Are there follow-up Programmes Available?
    The following progression paths are available internally at LYIT:
    Progression to a programme leading to a level 8 Honours Bachelor Degree in Business.
    Progression to Honours degree programmes in Institutes and other Universities within Ireland and abroad. Progression internationally to some second cycle (e.g. 'Bologna masters') Degree programmes
    Career Opportunities
    This programme has been developed in association with the FAI, GAA, Athletics Ireland and the Donegal Sports Partnership.
    It is expected that graduates will gain employment with National Governing Bodies, Sports Partnerships, clubs and communities in aspects of sports development and coaching.

    Offers of places on Sports Programmes are subject to Garda Clearance.
